Earth Limb

A planet’s limb is the edge of its atmosphere. Ours is a thin shell of air comprised of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.038% carbon dioxide, and traces of water vapor and other gases. [1]  It can be as blue as a robin’s egg , as red as molten iron, or as clear as cave water.
